Scot 2 Go

Hi, I’m Gemma

I’m a mum of two proud wee Scots, and like every parent in Scotland, I’ve spent far too many evenings scrolling through Facebook groups, out-of-date websites and old event pages, trying to find something to do with the kids at the weekend.

And I’ve been caught out more times than I can count. The soft play that closed last year. The toddler group that moved to a Tuesday. The “what’s on” page for an event that happened two summers ago. Nothing takes the wind out of a family day like a locked door and a car full of disappointed faces.

So I started doing something about it. It began as a local page for families in Renfrewshire, sharing the places we’d actually been and the groups we actually went to. Parents kept asking for more: more areas, more ideas, more places they could trust. That’s how Scot 2 Go was born.

Ours is a blended family, so some weekends it’s just my two and some weekends it’s all four. Either way, we love an adventure: camping trips, muddy forest walks and exploring somewhere new, from the Highlands to the Borders. That means I know the difference between a day out that works for one wee one and one that works for a car full of different ages.

What makes us different

Every listing has an expiry date. If a business doesn’t confirm its details are still right, the listing comes down. No ghost listings, no wasted journeys. We call it our No-Ghosting Rule.

Businesses look after their own listings. Toddler groups, soft plays, cafés, entertainers and attractions manage their own pages, events and offers, so you’re getting information straight from the people who run them.

It’s made by a local mum, not a corporation. I’ve dragged buggies up muddy paths, sat through the soft play meltdowns and hunted down the cafés with decent baby-changing. Everything here is built with busy, mixed-age families in mind.

From the Highlands to the Borders

Scot 2 Go covers the whole of Scotland, from Shetland to the Scottish Borders: toddler groups, places to visit, family-friendly restaurants, holidays, party ideas and seasonal events. Switch between map and list view, filter for what matters to you (free, pushchair-friendly, sensory-friendly, dog-friendly), and find something to do in minutes, not hours.
