Finlaystone Country Estate is an established visitor attraction managed by the family of the Chief of the Clan MacMillan. The estate, with its spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde, is open all year and is situated on the A8 ten minutes west of Glasgow Airport.
Finlaystone offers a great family day out with imaginative play areas, picnic areas & bbq sites, colourful gardens, tumbling waterfalls, events and activities, tea room, shop, visitor centre and the 'Clan MacMillan Centre' of particular interest to decendants of MacMillans, Baxters & Cunninghams.
HOOTENANNY OWLS FALCONRY CENTRE
Our resident Falconry centre, Hootenanny Owls, owned by Donna and Billy Pickett, is located in a purpose-built enclosure opposite the fort. You’ll often find them and their staff wandering the estate, owl in hand!
They offer a wide variety of specialised experiences, such as walks, photography sessions, parties and even a six-week falconer course. Their enclosure houses a wonderful variety of avian species, with exceptional deals on handling for the kids. https://www.facebook.com/HootenannyOwls/
