Koalas, Sumatran tigers, chimps, a big penguin colony and plenty more, spread across a steep hillside site on Corstorphine Hill. The slopes are hard work with a buggy, so check the zoo's accessibility map and plan your route before you go.
Opening hours change through the year: November–February 10am–4pm, March 10am–5pm, April–September 10am–6pm, October 10am–5pm. Last entry is one hour before closing, and the zoo is closed on Christmas Day only. Booking online saves around 10% on gate prices.
Accessibility: a free mobility vehicle service, manual wheelchairs (£10 refundable deposit), mobility scooter hire, sensory bags (£15 refundable deposit), a quiet space by the flamingos with a baby care room, and a Changing Places toilet.
